This *may* or *may not* matter to you. The chipset in the tiny Anker SD card reader has changed between the last AR200 and this year's A7612 model.
The last model only presented a drive when a disk was inserted. This year's model persists the drive irrespective of if a disk is inserted.
Huge deal if you need that functionality.

It seems impossible to find an original PF-10 floppy disk drive for my #Epson #PX-8. So today I started to build an SD card based floppy drive. Hmm, there are already so many of them. In principle yes, but no... Probably not due to its serial design.
The whole thing is based on http://wrcooke.net/projects/pfbdk/pfbdk.html, case design completely open. And complete surprise, I had all the parts so far except for a 3.7V charge controller for the 18650 battery.
