Learn to sail safely with the Small Boat Sailing merit badge! Scouts manage small sailboats, mastering steering, sail adjustments, and teamwork in emergencies. They pass a swim test, identify boat parts, and practice knots like the square knot and bowline. Safety is emphasized with lessons on life jackets, capsizing, and rescue, plus maintenance and BSA Safety Afloat. Scouts gain responsibility and confidence for outdoor adventures. #Sailing #Scouts #SafetyAfloat https://scoutermom.com/25178/small-boat-sailing-merit-badge/
