    #AWS introduced #S3Files, letting users mount an Amazon S3 bucket and access data through a standard file system interface.

    Applications can read and write files with standard file operations, while the system translates them into S3 requests - allowing compute services to work directly with S3-stored data.

    No, it's not a late April Fool's post: S3 Files has just been announced, meaning you can mount an S3 bucket as an NFS filesystem natively on EC2, ECS, Lambda and EKS.

    When I saw the Community Builders preview, I started imagining how it could help with application modernization. I wrote the article back then, hoping I could publish it once the feature went GA.
