  1. Swarm Knowledge to the rescue!

I got an IBM 7011 Model 220 with the GT1 graphics. Which does not work with my TFT (I suppose). It's only creating a "full white" screen. Not sure if it is the DIP switches on the card, tried a bunch of settings. Mostly the screen stays black ...
Console via serial is working fine.

  2. About to finally win my fight with the bitchy RS/6000 IBM 7011 Model 220 ... after denying to accept a NEC, an Apple, a Pioneer AND A Toshiba CD-ROM - acquired a Plextor and voila ...

  7. In grades 5-7, I started learning to program in #BASIC on Atari 400, #Atari800, and TRS-80 (and got an unfortunate lesson in their differences).

    In grade 12: UCSD #Pascal on #Apple2 e

In college: #COBOL on a CDC Cyber, #Fortran on an IBM 3081, Borland #turboPascal
on PCs with MS-DOS, #C on a Sequent Balance and IBM #rs6000, and #C++ on PCs running Windows

Along the way, I got familiar with a #hexKeypad and once used a #cardPunch. (I made some hardware too.)

    I'm still learning new stuff...
