Another teaser for OS enthusiasts: #RISCOSMerlin already delivers impressive SMP performance, supports per-core arena allocation to enable massive multi-core systems with up to 256 cores, and offers a truly multi-core graphics subsystem too.
Want to see what that test produces graphically? Come at the forthcoming RISC OS London Show 2026 to find out, and I promise you, you have never seen a raspberry pi this fast ;)
A beautiful test of #RISCOSMerlin exploring the PCIe bus in full on AArch64 (spoiler works on AArch32, x86 and x86_64 too) and the part I love the most is the fact that Merlin Kernel and HAL can do safe tear down of all direct and indirect allocated resources when healing from faulty driver, yup! 😉
I want to see systems capable of recovering from such issues.
