Revolut, however, did not disclose the exact number of impacted individuals. Datenleck bei Revolut: Sensible Kundendaten wurden an ein nicht autorisiertes E-Mail-Konto weiter gegeben, das die Domain einer Regierungsbehörde immitierte und korrekte Credentials aufwies. Also gingen Revolut-Mitarbeitende davon aus, dass die RegierungsAnfrage echt sei und übermittelten die angeforderten Daten. Aber eben nicht an die Regierung, sondern Scammer. Betroffen waren u. a. Namen, Geburtsdaten, Adressen, Kontaktdaten, Ausweiskopien, Selfies sowie Konto- und Transaktionsdaten inklusive IBANs und Bitcoin-Verläufen.
Nein, es müssen keine Systeme gehackt werden. Und ja: Einfach eine passende E-Mail schicken, reicht völlig aus. Früher hieß es: "Kleider machen Leute"...
Aber Sie wissen ja: "Wir nehmen Datenschutz- und Privatsphärebelange sehr ernst."
