I am (mostly) enjoying #RetroBowl from Apple Arcade but bloody hell, the game obviously cheats. You've got a 5★ defence and they've got a 2★ offense? They'll go through that like a knife through butter and score constantly. Your 5★ offense against their 2★ defence? They'll intercept the ball constantly or cause fumble turnovers.
Like the game has decided the result before you even play and it'll jam its dirty fingers on the scales to make damn sure it gets that result.

I stayed playing #RetroBowl 🏈 recently. As a *very casual* football enjoyer, I'm finding it super fun. As a #gamedev designer, I'm impressed at how far they were able to pare down the gameplay while still keeping it engaging: no direct play calling, no playing defense at all, etc. and yet I'm still having tons of fun building my franchise, and the super simple mechanics for running offensive plays are all I really want out of a #football video game.

Got some time to myself this evening after everyone went to bed. Spent it playing #RetroBowl on iOS. Still can’t seem to win the championship on Extreme difficulty though.
