The #China has long been involved in money markets without drawing too much attention to itself. It’s expansive USD$ reserve is a quiet lever they manage to use behind the scenes to temper #USD dominance. The #RenMinBi (RMB) has long been undervalued (according to most NeoLiberal economists) but is is gathering strength. As long as the #PRC doesn’t muck it up with its constant saber rattling against #Taiwan, it is in a strong position to place the RMB as an alternative #currency reserve. Time will tell… but for #XiJingPing, and the PRC, it’s a long term game. Certainly, any move of the RMB into the market puts added pressure onto the USD as the dominant global currency (And with a Magga-ist serving as the secretary of the treasury under #tRumpo, what could possibly go wrong?) -
