# Red Flag 6: They Prioritize the System Over the Relationship

When conflict arises, they reflexively protect the hierarchy, the narrative, or the group’s comfort — even when it harms the relationship.
This signals #alignment with system logic, not #relational logic.

Pity is not just a sentiment; it is a regulatory move inside #relational systems. When a system contains a dysregulated center (person, group, institution, ideology), the surrounding culture develops pacification strategies to keep that dysregulation from erupting. Pity is one of those #strategies.

In Japanese, human being (人間, ningen) literally means person-in-between. Watsuji Tetsuro built an entire ethics from this: beings are constituted by relational space, not individual consciousness.

Three continents, three traditions: ubuntu, buen vivir, ningen: all arriving at the same correction: the individual-first model isn't the default. It's one option. And maybe the wrong one.

The pursuit of #wealth does not end well. Either one obtains wealth, which often proves deleterious to a person's #soul and #relationships with others, or one does not and yet still has experienced #relational damage in its pursuit. 

Those in the world extol and justify the pursuit of wealth.  As Christians, we should prove far more skeptical and suspect regarding wealth, according to all God has made known in Christ.
