An advantage of playing on a midi controller that's connected to a computer compared to playing on a musical keyboard is that you get to have lots of choices. Wanna play #piano - there are synths that have sampled the most famous piano models or even better, an awesome 30 something GB VSTI that's gonna beat what's on your keyboard in every way! Oh yeah speaking of synths, good luck finding the #accessibility you get on customizing your sound on a musical keyboard; Go with something like #CockosREAPER and #SurgeXT or even #reFXNexus and just taste the difference. Oh and last but not least, I got my midi controller for such a rediculous price, but its keys beat my keyboard's by a long shot! Feels more like a digital piano and that's what I was looking for.
