Apple szykuje przełom w Apple Watchu – okrągły ekran, wersje bez wyświetlacza i powrót ceramiki

Apple rozważa fundamentalną przebudowę Apple Watcha — od okrągłych ekranów, przez fitness trackery bez wyświetlacza, po nowe warianty premium i budżetowe. Przy okazji ceramiczna obudowa, nieobecna od sześciu lat, może wrócić już w tegorocznej Serii 12.

Niedzielne wydanie newslettera „Power On” Marka Gurmana dla Bloomberga przyniosło jeden z bardziej intrygujących tekstów o przyszłości Apple Watcha od dawna — obraz produktu, który po dekadzie funkcjonowania w niemal niezmienionej formule może wkrótce przejść fundamentalną przebudowę.

Przemyślenie Apple Watcha od podstaw

Jak informuje MacRumors, Gurman porównuje skalę planowanych zmian do rewolucji, jaką dla iPhone’a stanowi przejście na formę składaną — coś, co ma na nowo zdefiniować produkt na nadchodzącą erę. Zespół projektowy Apple od jakiegoś czasu bada szerszą przebudowę koncepcji smartwatcha, biorąc pod uwagę kilka możliwych kierunków jednocześnie.

Apple poważnie traktuje odrodzenie popularności opasek fitness bez ekranu i inteligentnych pierścieni, jak Oura Ring, i rozważa własne urządzenia w tym stylu — pozbawione wyświetlacza, ale też nowe warianty Apple Watcha z odmiennymi typami ekranów i rozmiarami. Jak dodaje 9to5Mac, wśród rozważanych kształtów pojawia się okrągły wyświetlacz — coś, czego Apple konsekwentnie unikało od premiery pierwszego modelu w 2015 roku. Gurman zastrzega jednak, że taki produkt jest raczej mało prawdopodobny do wydania.

Firma bierze też pod uwagę wprowadzenie nowych wariantów premium, plasujących się powyżej obecnych modeli Ultra i Hermès, a jednocześnie rozważa jeszcze tańsze opcje uzupełniające istniejący Apple Watch SE. Innymi słowy: rozciągnięcie linii produktowej w obu kierunkach jednocześnie. Apple nie zdecydowało jeszcze o ostatecznym kierunku, ale — jak podkreśla Gurman — jest zdeterminowane, żeby przemyśleć swoją linię produktową w odpowiedzi na rosnącą konkurencję.

Cała ta przebudowa sprzętowa ma iść w parze ze zmianami programowymi — Apple planuje uczynić swoje urządzenia do noszenia bardziej zorientowanymi na AI, z ambitnymi, długoterminowymi planami gruntownego odświeżenia aplikacji Zdrowie. Segment wearables, home i akcesoriów od lat mierzy się ze stagnacją wzrostu, a to właśnie ten obszar Apple chce ożywić tą przebudową.

Warto jednak studzić emocje: jak zaznacza 9to5Mac, żaden z tych kierunków nie jest bliski wdrożenia, a Apple nie podjęło jeszcze konkretnej decyzji co do żadnego z nich. Cokolwiek radykalnie nowego pojawi się na rynku, stanie się to najwcześniej za kilka lat.

Ceramika może wrócić już w tym roku

Drugi wątek dotyczy czegoś bliższego w czasie. Jak opisuje MacRumors, Apple planuje przywrócić charakterystyczną ceramiczną obudowę Apple Watcha jeszcze w tym roku lub w 2027.

Ceramika po raz pierwszy pojawiła się w Apple Watch Edition z Serią 2 we wrześniu 2016 roku, zastępując oryginalny, złoty wariant Edition i sprowadzając cenę linii z kilku tysięcy dolarów do stosunkowo skromnych 1249 dolarów. Biały wariant, wykonany ze sprasowanego proszku cyrkonowo-aluminiowego polerowanego diamentową zawiesiną i reklamowany jako czterokrotnie twardszy od stali nierdzewnej, rok później doczekał się szarej wersji przy okazji Serii 3. Linia Edition zniknęła jednak całkowicie w Serii 4 w 2018 roku, a Apple na jeden rok pozostało bez żadnego wariantu premium obudowy. Biała ceramika wróciła w Serii 5 w 2019 roku, obok nowego wówczas wariantu tytanowego, po czym Apple ostatecznie wycofało ją przy premierze Serii 6 w 2020 roku. Od sześciu lat materiał jest nieobecny w ofercie, stając się jednym z bardziej pożądanych wykończeń wśród kolekcjonerów na rynku wtórnym.

Poza samą ceramiką, nadchodzące Apple Watch Series 12 i Apple Watch Ultra 4 mają kontynuować trend skromnych aktualizacji, z ulepszeniami „pod maską” obejmującymi wyraźny wzrost wydajności — najpewniej za sprawą nowego chipa, po tym jak dwie ostatnie generacje dzieliły ten sam układ S10, praktycznie niezmieniony względem S9 z 2023 roku. Gurman dodaje, że tegoroczne modele otrzymają też nowe kolory, paski oraz szereg usprawnień związanych ze zdrowiem i fitnessem. Apple Watch Series 12 i Ultra 4 mają zadebiutować razem z iPhone’em 18 Pro, iPhone’em 18 Pro Max i pierwszym składanym iPhone’em już w przyszłym miesiącu.

• Einklappen der Seitenleiste versteckte bisher das Submenü unter "Admin-Bereich". Dies wurde gefixt.

Mit Version 1.6.1 wurde bereits ein vollständiges Redseign von FediSuite veröffentlicht.

Category Explorer is now available on Aptivi Blog!

Earlier, we have finished the initial redesign plan, which was the hardest part of the broader plan, which focused on improving user experience for those who are reading our blog, especially when it comes to mobile phones and tablets. Now, we have tackled the second part, and it took its sweet time to be implemented.

We are very excited to announce that we have finally categorized our blog articles! We have introduced some of the sub-categories that are on top of the main categories so that you can access related content quickly. This reduces the amount of scrolling you’ll have to do to find relevant content, such as Linux news and FreeBSD news.

We have also used the same responsive design for all our pages to have the same uniform, and the category explorer page is one of them. Below shows you a quick overview of how it looks on both mobile phones and on computers:
