  5. For some of my smaller run boards, an overprint like this could be really useful.

    [update, printed WAGOs as well]

JLC should offer this as an added service 🙂

Over printing the WAGOs, really is awesome...

  10. So, updated, slightly.

The QR code serves three purposes now.

    1. It is a link to my PCB shop as people have been known to ask where they get a magic doorbell, and now we can say scan the QR code.

    2. It has embedded in it a date/time, so if used as a delivery photo that data is in the QR as well as on screen.

    3. The shop link is a logged redirect so shows me if someone has decoded and accessed the QR code at some later date, suggesting someone may be using as training data?

  15. Bad #QR codes, again, this time weetabix.

This QR exploits one principle I have used where extending the pixel map outside the base QR code works, as long as you keep the targets clean with at least 1 pixel border on them.

But then some graphics designer cropped BADLY, taking out some of the target on two of them.

I tried over and over to scan. My son tried, and used a zoom setting and managed it. URL is mad!

A QR/1D reader I have could not see QR and kept reading random codes from it.

  25. Just in case I’m the only one for this dead obvious thing: #QR payments are amazing, but as a user I would like them to be treated as a bill rather than command.
If I scan the code (again) I want to know whether it has been paid? By whom? When? Has the payment been returned? Can I get a link to the payment in case it has been done by me? Etc…
This would prevent me in so many cases panicking and digging through atrocious #UX of my banks to find what has happened.

Nice addition to their "totally about security and not about Android locking/Google forcing" tactics. Can go next in line with blocking external apps and the Play Integriti API.

Not even starting about #QR fraude. Great for #phising sites!
