A client has had two romance ghostwriters in a row now whose first couple of books were great, but then when they got to the third book and beyond the quality dropped to unreadably horrible, almost as if a different person had written them. I'm guessing this is because the first books were spec pieces they'd worked on for months, and now the 60-day turnaround is catching up to them. Thoughts?

Not as annoying as finding folded page corners in a book, but still irksome, is finding a #typo in a book from a supposedly reputable publisher. Back in the days of old-fashioned #typesetting, I recall everything I read being flawless. Now with #DigitalTypesetting and automatic #spellchecking, I find typos. Not a nonsense word, but another English word that the spellchecker doesn't catch. I just started a new popular hardcover novel from a big #publisher and found a typo on the first page.
