@ruud Please check the site #pubeurope.com . I have no hint who is behind them but they launch dozens of fake accounts using state or city names and are flooding the fediverse with „news“ , often referring to Russia, Putin and the Kremlin. Here is e.g. a comment of @[email protected] : „Does anybody know more about #EuropeSays ?
Their account is https://pubeurope.com/@europesays ,but the sources, curation policy, ownership, location, people behind it etc. are not noted anywhere on the site. -
Alas, I am about to remove the whole #pubeurope.com instance from my personal #Science feed. No #impressum, no mission statement, no #face or name, seems like #AI-generated summaries, only partially linked sources, often non-clickable links, forcing all the traffic to their site, not giving quick, easy access to the primary sources... overall far too much work to curate since I have to literally check each and every toot for quality. Life is too short for this.
