For people who #SelfHost their #vpn - have you noticed that a lot of websites recently started to reject connections through the VPN?

I've been running a #wireguard_vpn through a #SelfHosted Vultr #VPS for about five years now, and it's been working great when I was traveling.

Lately I noticed that a whole bunch of websites (like Airline websites that one really might want to access while traveling or even the odd large search engine) were just showing various kinds of "service not available" messages when connecting through the VPN.

Obviously this is not a useful situation, so I'm thinking about alternatives.

One option would be to try and tunnel the VPN through my home network, but that seems to be a lot of configuration effort, and I'm not sure that I want to open the network to the outside like that, even via something like WireGuard.

The other option I'm thinking about would be to subscribe to #ProtonMail with the package that includes #ProtonVPN. I can offset the cost - at least partially - by shutting down my VPN box, but given that I really like selfhosting, it feels a bit meh. But then again, working VPN - especially one that I can connect to from my #SlateAX travel router - beats meh.

Suggestions/opinions/recommendations very welcome.
