For the uninitiated, the Protomen have been releasing slowly over the last two decades a Megaman-inspired gritty rock opera.

Just got back from #PaxEast 2025!
My wife and I had a lot of fun, though the expo floor seemed a bit lighter this year and had some noticeable absences. I finally got to see #JonathanCoulton perform live, along side #PaulAndStorm. Not the same energy as my first PAX concert (#Protomen in 2010), but he's a fun performer and it was great to hear the whole audience singing along.
This was also my first time ever attempting a #cosplay. Not totally happy with it, though, so probably not posting photos of that. Lol

Current mood: listening to The Protomen, comparing their story to Mega Man: Rock 'N Roll.
On the one hand, dramatic and bombastic cyberpunk dystopian rock opera.
On the other hand, poignant story told without words, only the original 8-bit sprites miming out the drama like finger puppets.
Who told the better story? I cannot say. What do you think?
