Aufgrund von örtlicher Abwesenheit konnte ich bis dato die ersten zwei Termine nur zuhören und nicht teilnehmen, trotzdem nahm ich den Hinweis auf die Aktion #SoSollWeb von Annette Schwindt wahr. I was thinking earlier that it would be pretty cool to have an #ActivityPub-powered app that uses something like the old #WordPress #PostFormats feature that, in turn, supports post formats that other #Fediverse services use.
For example, the app can post regular posts like this one, structured link posts that work with services like #Lemmy, galleries through @pixelfed and videos through #Peertube.
Unless #ActivityPub automatically reformats posts based on what they contain when a user of services like these receives them in their feeds? I'm not sure how this works under the metaphorical hood. 🤔

Did a lot of searching about #WordPress #PostFormats yesterday and there’s a lot of info on how to use them but not a lot of examples of sites that use them (aside from quotes). I guess Gutenberg & Google’s (now defunct) minimum word requirement really killed usage.
All the folks who love #Tumblr would prolly love using post formats on their site.
Aha - I bet there are Tumblr themes with good examples!

Any #Wordpress folks (devs or fans) have modern examples of well styled #asides or #chats?
I decided to finally explore #PostFormats - asides could be a cool way to display certain toots in WordPress.
I’m pretty sure they fell out of favor in the last decade thanks to #Google’s stranglehold on #SEO and every post needing ‘250-300’ words to make the big G happy.
