  1. @flexghost people may tend to think of iran as a backwater but they are really an advanced country, if they can muster us good governance (ie democracy with free and fair elections) then their trajectory and prospectus could be excellent - that is my 2c but wait and see what happens, they had some assistance but the future depends on the choices they make, cautious optimism, no guarantees, look at afghanistan #polysci

  5. @Moosader I'm picking up what you're laying down, but is it truly broken, or just too strong of a national government for a Federal Republic.

We have some massive States from a landmass perspective, but small in population and visa versa. If they were separate Federal Republics instead of States, who would combine into larger Unions for financial and population strength?

How would this affect the need to control resources? Would we see military conflicts as a result? #polysci #questions

  9. Any psychology experts out there? There has to be a term for this. The tendency for a group of people who exploit some other class of people to denigrate and demonize that class of people to help their own conscience.

  12. Question: Where (specific searches on any platform) can one find examples of sensible, mostly civil dialog between individuals on the left and right on policy issues and/or social/cultural topics? Looking for the most cogent arguments in a few of the hot debates. Thanks! #polysci #politicalscience #politicalpolarization #socialpsychology
