I've been playing around with #bibisco for project Deadly Pearls. My interest was piqued because it looks almost like an IDE (Integrated Development Environment) for authors, with everything you (might) need to write a story.
I'll keep this post updated while I'm still figuring things out while writing my #cozyMystery
My likes
- Word count and tag tracking works well, and it gives me nice statistics for what it tracks.
- Built-in mind maps and timelines.
- The guided approach to writing
- Clean sections for story preparation and general plot ideas.
- Purposeful chapter creation aka "What is the reason this chapter exists in your story?
My dislikes
- The editor. Seriously. It's not fun to write in. For me, it's the lack of options to customise it. The fonts available are not the ones I would choose and (similar to #Plottr) I can't use the fonts I have installed on my system.
- UX...
- The overall UX is good, but there are SO many things where you have to click a "more" button in the bottom right corner of the screen to change the name of a scene (which is in the top left corner).
- (Update) *You can double click on the name and then edit the title. I would still prefer to have some sort of (visual) indication that this is possible.

Things I would like to see
- QoL additions to the word count tracking, like updated daily word count goals based on my actual pace. It's only updated manually when I go back to the writing goal settings and hit 'calculate' again to get an updated daily word count goal.
