  1. How did we get to Age Verification?

Age Verification is the new anti-terrorism. The trojan-horse of legal bullshit designed to strip the public from their rights, claiming it is for the greater good. But why this? Why now? I suppose I want to process the way I see it via a play. It will have very strange names, like Publicus ( that represents the public ).

  4. Breaking Down the New Stupid Ageist Californian Law that Requires Age Verification at OS account setup

Assembly Bill No. 1043 of the State of California forces every operating system vendor to implement an age verification system on "account setup". I guess it's time to break the text of it down and rant a pissed-off rant about how stupid it is. Shall we?

  9. Why Age Verification cannot work even for its intended use?

Short answer People are stupid. But seriously, even though we have a lot of talk about why Age Verification laws are bad ( for human rights ) and how we can fight against them ( EFF just made a comprehensive guide on the issue ) nobody seems to realize the underlying logical fallacy, or multitudes of them, that even brought us to this point to begin with.

  14. #TicketMaster just giving up on poachers and instead creating a marketplace for them is the height of #latestagecapitalism.

Not only that, but they have the balls to breach the #pivacy of their patrons by forcing them to register their #biometrics so that the patrons can be more accurately tracked.

As evil companies go, TicketMaster is just one of the worst within entertainment.

  15. CW: Old Technology = Better Defence - use mostly older technology as prevention of new tactics and problems...

The best defence is to use mostly older technology.

    Privacy = Using Old

Can be a trade-off but consider New = #Spyware and they didn't AND COULDN'T embed as much evil hardware and code - so literally they are limited by you protecting yourself when using limited retro hardware (old mobile phones I mean + including old smart phones).

I admit there are exceptions like operating system that have caught up - using Linux Mint - but even old WinXP install would be ok/better for mostly offline use (the trade off is maybe in WinXP's favour for how easy it is to use / manage system than Liinux for newbie). Could be wrong for this but again phones easier example...

Thinking of Android phone MOSTLY here... so less Android version = less problems + less extra overkill hardware (CRAZY 3 camera on phones, triggers for when you move etc).... NOT NEEDED

Happy to hear thoughts, never perfect but seems old is better limited and less mistakes by user that doesn't choose to undo all the settings or find the secrets to dumbing phone down...

📱 Smart phone but basic one...
+ maximising user to use text more intelligently
+ basic imaging even though you can still use old Android for almost everything I've tried!!

APK stores STILL EXIST for old and I saved those I want for next phone!!...

    Also old for #sustainability #Ecology
