"Give a Little Whistle" is a song written by #LeighHarline and #NedWashington for #WaltDisney's 1940 adaptation of #Pinocchio. The original version was sung by #CliffEdwards in the character of #JiminyCricket and #DickieJones in the character of #Pinocchio, and is teaching how to whistle in the film. It is one of two original songs to not appear in Disney's 2022 #liveactionRemake of the film, along with "Little Wooden Head".

Was Frau Klöckner praktiziert, dürfte politischer Alltag sein, also zu meinen, dies sei ein Phänomen des
21. Jahrhunderts, ginge fehl.

Erinnert sich noch jemand an Menschen wie Barschel ("Ich gebe Ihnen mein Ehrenwort'), oder an Ex-Doktor von und zu Guttenberg und wie sie alle heißen. Oder schauen wir in einen simplen Strafprozess: Anfang 2025, Clifford O., Opfer von Polizeigewalt. Und wer war angeklagt? Natürlich er! Aber dort war es am Ende derart offensichtlich, dass die Polizei gelogen hatte, dass selbst die Staatsanwaltschaft Freispruch beantragte, der dann auch erfolgte! Will sagen, in solchen Prozessen wurde staatlicherseits schon immer gelogen.

Zwar nicht erst seit Trump, aber seitdem zunehmend beschleunigt, zählen "alternative Fakten", die fast nur noch in links-grünen Kreisen schlich Lügen genannt werden, mehr als so etwas wie Wahrheit.

Klöckner, Merz, aber auch Klingbeil und Söder, sie alle und ihre Mitstreitern:innen werden alles sagen, alles tun, um ihre Machtposition zu halten- und bereiten gerade dadurch der Meisterin des Lüge, der AfD weiter den Boden!

It's a well directed tv series with top notch actors and a compelling plot.
Despite the talented cast featuring #LeeJongSuk and #ParkShinHye as leads, I was a bit bothered, as it happens sometimes in k-dramas, by the iron clad integrity and perfect ethics of the characters. Particularly the male lead, coming out always as the hero of the situation.

Anyway it's a good drama, it's just not tailored to my taste.

FL with Pinocchio Syndrome - hiccups start when she lies - wants to become a news reporter. It examines corruption w/in the media & how it affects society. It's a gripping story about the tragedies that result from greed. It is also about grief when someone close is not the person you thought they were. All the main characters struggle w/ this in their relationships & learn they can't change others, but they can change their perspective.

ML & FL both won multiple awards, top actors, popularity, & best couple. It won best soundtrack & Outstanding Korean Drama.

Every eps. was wonderfully paced. Side characters were marvelously written. Romance is sweet, but secondary to the reporters' story, where a decision means life or death. It's a great watch & deserves its reputation as a kDrama classic.
