  1. Happy Pi Day! This year, I made 2 pies from scratch to celebrate:
-white chocolate blackberry pudding pie in a blackberry & graham cracker crust
-peanut butter pie with a chocolate ganache topping sprinkled with blended Reeses pieces in an Oreo cookie crust

I’m very happy with how both turned out 😋

  2. Totally forgot it was pi day so ran out and got an impulse pie

  3. Daughter made pies for pi day at the local #library

She said they were all strawberry.

I said "ah that's why you used the strawberry symbol shape"

    Gives me a look.

I continue "Have you ever noticed how a heart looks more like a strawberry than a heart? Besides heart pies would be gross outside of Scotland" 😉

  4. #piday2026 Calcul de π avec de vrais grains de riz (les élèves adorent, même si j'ai du le faire le 13 puisque il' n'y a pas cours le samedi 😄) puis une simulation python Monte Carlo 😊

  5. The current record for the number of digits of π stands at 314 trillion, computed in December 2025 by engineers at StorageView Lab.

Hardware: Dell PowerEdge R7725 with dual AMD EPYC 192-Core CPUs
Storage: Forty 61.44TB Micron 6550 Ion SSDs
    Software: y-cruncher
    Algorithms: Chudnovsky and Ramanujan
Run time: uninterrupted 110 days. That's an avg of over 33 million digits per second.

  6. Over 75 years after Ramanujan developed the equation for π, the Chudnovsky brothers published this formula, which produces about 14 digits of π per term, more than 2x that of Ramanujan's formula.

There's some sorcery in these numbers.

  7. This remarkable equation for π by Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, developed around 1910-1914, is an infinite series with some curious numbers and an interesting property. The first k terms of the sum give π with ~8*k decimal digits.

    E.g., the 1st term gives π = 3.141592 73001..., which is accurate to 6 decimal places.

    Using 2 terms, we get π = 3.141592 653589793 87808..., which is accurate to 15 decimal places.

  8. Happy Pi Day 🥧
And Happy Birthday to Albert Einstein.

Here are a few mathematical representations of π developed over the ages. Can you identify the mathematicians behind these equations?

Pi (π) is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. It is an irrational, transcendental number; its decimal digits continue infinitely without repeating.

    π = 3.1415926535 8979323846 2643383279 5028841971 6939937510 ...

  10. I was wondering, let us take a hypothetical banach space. Where the abstract forward movement is truth, and the opposite direction is false.

And i wish to define the space as the latent space where there is a solution to every kind of truthfulness or falsehood.

A space where the (is pi rational?) (is pi irrational?) exists but as opposing vectors.

Would that space then hypothetically contain a vector of solution of all the possible questions ever asked?

    Also happy Pi Day!

  11. Heute ist Pi-Day! π

  12. Happy International Pi Day! Celebrating the infinite possibilities of clean code and extreme portability.

What a better day to remind everyone: Of course it runs NetBSD! 🚩
