Please stay safe out there this weekend. Men, look after your mates by keeping them in check/reigning in their behaviour. Domestic violence is an epidemic in Australia and on sports related long weekends, particularly this weekend in Victoria, calls for help by women increase 20%. Change is literally in your hands, men.

Sometimes the path isn't so clear cut as this, so count your blessings when it is.
This is leading towards Sunnymeade Beach in Aireys Inlet on the lands of the Gadubanud people. This was taken on our last day visiting Lorne. What a crackerjack weekend!
This weekend is set to be another stunner so get out there and "touch some grass" if you're able.

This is leading towards Sunnymeade Beach in Aireys Inlet on the lands of the Gadubanud people. This was taken on our last day visiting Lorne. What a crackerjack weekend!

Although with the cuts to my NDIS plan, I'm not too happy.
These images were taken at Maroondah Reservoir Park on the lands of the Wurundjeri people. I took a trip there with my support worker on Monday. We travel once a month to rural Victoria to immerse ourselves in nature so I can recalibrate. This is part of my NDIS plan. Without it I'd be lost to this world.

This week's instalment is the hero image for my friend's Melbourne Fringe performance (linked below). The synopsis for the show is, I think, quite unique. I'll be going to opening night, if you're interested.
Jessie Ngaio, the subject of the image, is an ecological warrior artist and sex clown, I highly recommend going to see her collaborative show in Naarm.
It was an honour to do this shoot with Jessie as we both champion the environment in our work and I think Jessie is a phenomenal performer and painter. We met during a 10wk mentorship program for queer, disabled artists through Midsumma Festival, and have been friends since.
The shoot was out in Harcourt, on the lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung people, some months after bushfires ravaged the area. By the time we drove out there, regrowth could be seen on some of the burnt out trees, giving hope of renewal.

I went on a photography adventure to rural Victoria, Malmsbury, on the lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung and Taungurung Peoples. It has been a while since we've been out due to illness (both of us), so it was good to get out and especially good to experience the thick fog out in nature.

This week one of my architectural images won a Commended certificate. I took this image during a trip to Ballarat, specifically looking at architecture even though I'm primarily a landscape & event photographer.
The Single Shot category is open to every kind of photography (portrait, landscape, travel, b&w, etc), so I'm pretty proud of my work.

On Wednesday I went to Snake Valley (on the lands of the Wadawurrung) with Out Doors Inc for an overnight adventure.
We did a couple of small stops. On Thursday we were meant to do a longer walk but the van got bogged for an hour in 4wd country thanks to Google maps taking us the "quickest" way. We did not end up doing the walk. Fortunately it only rained on us a bit and we managed to push the van back out & "get outta dodge" (as the saying goes).

This week's instalment is from Kingston Park on Kaurna country. I was there this week with family at the caravan park to scatter our ma's ashes on the beach.
We watched as she was washed out to sea. It was a sad occasion, we all had a cry, but it was cathartic to send her off on her final voyage as per her wishes.
Us siblings wear a pendant with some ashes inside, so she comes with us everywhere still (she does more exercise now than she was ever accustomed to 😅). Regardless, she is forever in our hearts, loved always.

Happy Photography Friday friends.
This week's instalment is from Kingston Park on Kaurna country. I was there this week with family at the caravan park to scatter our ma's ashes on the beach.
We watched as she was washed out to sea. It was a sad occasion, we all had a cry, but it was cathartic to send her off on her final voyage as per her wishes.
Us siblings wear a pendant with some ashes inside, so she comes with us everywhere still (she does more exercise now than she was ever accustomed to 😅). Regardless, she is forever in our hearts, loved always.

Here's a mobile phone image I took whilst out with my support worker to Cannons Creek Boardwalk in Naarm. Not a bad little stop. Pity their were no clouds to capture the immensely beautiful colour in the sky.

Here's my friend, Dean Arcuri, aka Frock Hudson at this year's Midsumma Festival Pride March in Naarm.
This is the last week of the festival and I've so far shot 7 events with another 2 to go, including VIC Pride on Sunday (here's hoping the rain decides to skip Fitzroy). I'm an exhausted and sore queer, but love what I do!
