My hematocrit has been low my last few blood tests... because of gender!
Last September I changed my chart gender to be nonbinary. Instead of expanding the gender range to include the male & female ranges, they assigned me the male range. Because of course.
Now my hematocrit is low, despite actually being in the AFAB range. luv 2 gender

Wow, I think I've seen the future... Some kind of Star Trek device for showing the nurse where your veins are for a blood draw.
Then again if this was really Star Trek they would just use a tricorder to determine all your blood information and then wave some wand over you to cure you. Oh well, we can have all of the future at once...
PS. I'm assuming this is using an IR camera and then projecting the image back on your arm. Am I right?

Maybe it’s just me, but I frequently find humor in strange places. I was in a lab for routine medical tests (quarterly blood work) and the waiting room tv was showing informational videos about the services performed at the lab. “The phlebotomist is the person who draws your blood” struck me as funny, coming from a commercial art background. So, now you’re in on my little joke. Back to the sawdust now. #humor #darkhumor #phlebotomy #blood
