"Sean Plunket ... also had NZ First leader Winston Peters on, and he said the move to regulate online content was 'bordering on fascist', and called for the [Broadcasting Standards Authority] agency to be abolished."

My knee-jerk reaction is people often know their neighbours. So given Dogwhistle Peters has been bordering on fascism for years, he'd know
But seriously ...

The Herald is running this headline behind a paywall.
"Well-known Kiwi injuncts media organisation"
"A well-known New Zealander has been successful in securing a court injunction to ensure their name is in no way published or identified in a recently released piece of journalism."
"The High Court has issued an injunction, suppressing the names of not just the prominent New Zealander, but the media organisation and reporter as well."
<snip>
“The injunction was made permanent when ... management subsequently decided not to challenge the interim injunction.”
"They did not wish to use funds “in a potentially lengthy legal battle to name a person of peripheral interest to the story”.
Oddly, that exact phrase about using funds “in a potentially lengthy legal battle to name a person of peripheral interest to the story” appeared in ep 1 of Phil Vine's RNZ podcast series "The Lodge", digging into the creepy cult in Fiordland.
Phil revealed that they'd removed the name of a prominent NZer from the series following court action.
What a striking coincidence.
