What’s a personal mantra or philosophy you live by?
I don’t really have a fancy life mantra.
But there’s one rule I keep coming back to:
“If I can’t explain it simply, I probably don’t understand it yet.”
As a B.Tech CSE student, I’ve had plenty of moments where I thought I understood something just because I could follow the lecture or remember the definition.
Then someone asks me to explain it.
And suddenly… 😅
That’s when I realize what I actually know and what I’ve just memorized.
So now, whenever I learn something, I try to explain it in simple words — even to someone who knows nothing about the topic.
Because for me, real learning isn’t about remembering more. It’s about understanding well enough to explain.
