I know it's only until the end of the season, and I know he's got plenty of experience - but I think a 78yr-old should ask serious questions of themselves in taking a role like this. Not least "is it fair to block an opportunity for someone of normal working age?".

Beer and ice cream in the sunshine with old friends, a thumping 3-0 win and a sending off in a cracking game, and then realising the visiting team’s manager (who now looks destined for the sack) is the thoroughly dislikable Warren Feeney. 👌🏻

My final match of the season, watching #ChepstowTown sadly lose a playoff to be in the #CymruSouth next season. Ynyshir Albions* the victors, 2-0.
* Ynyshir, @sreb23.bsky.social pointed out, sounds like a sneeze. And yes, it is AlbionS (plural), I’m guessing because they were formed from a merger between several other sides. Fun fact: their nickname is The Buns, I know not why.

A tense and nervy 1-1 draw at Chepstow Town vs Goytre, with both sides in the hunt for second place in the Ardal South East league (which puts them into a playoff with the runners-up of the South West). The visitors still hold their fate in their own hands, and Chepstow are left hoping others do them a favour.
