As I look at this little screen, I’m thinking of 8 years from now. I hope by then, this isn't "tech stuff" anymore, it's how we just talk to each other.

Delegates from all over the country met in Cardiff, our national capital, over the weekend for the annual @ucu Cymru Congress
At our Congress, we passed a motion, with unanimous support, that our organisation will henceforth be known by a single name, UCU Cymru
Not only does the use of #UCU #Cymru promote & normalise the Welsh language, it helps to underline the fact that we operate in a devolved nation with very different education policies than those set by the Tory UK government

Yes Wales lost. I'm not hugely surprised and not much disappointed - despite the lovely fans there's something deeply creepy about the way #WalesFA endorsed the use of #YmaOHyd with its descriptions of some welsh people as 'servile floorlickers', cowards and 'Dic Sion Dafydds as somehow being the anthem of an 'inclusive' team.... -

According to some sources, his descendants include the legendary mythical figures #UtherPendragon and #KingArthur. He is referenced in the Welsh song and football anthem #YmaOHyd by #DafyddIwan

Last of the @cymru defenders, it's Connor Roberts. A second #Wrexham born player. I wanted to mix this up and highlight that #itsnotallmetals, so we've got this nice decorated and glazed medieval floor tile. Similar examples have been identified from Carmarthen Priory and Neath Abbey.

Finishing off the defenders tonight, so next up is Neco Williams. #Wrexham born Nico gets this beautiful early #Roman period roundel. Found in Abenbury, the enameled decoration here really stands out. Probably part of a larger decorative object.

Time for Chris Mepham. Now Chris was born in Hammersmith, #London, so he gets a coin of #Vespasian, found in Hammersmith. Now you have to remember that Vespasian was, of course, quite busy in Wales, so the connection is a touch tenuous but about as sound as we're going to get on this one 😉.

For #Swansea born Joe Rodon, you've got to factor in that he's currently playing in #France, so here we have an early modern French jetton token, from a Swansea findspot! Seems a good fit.

Next is #Cardiff born Ben Cabango who gets a cannon. I make no apologies for the logic on this one - bang-o, you see where I'm going.
The cannon is actually #French and forged in the early years of the First Republic.
