If you're looking at the Steam Machine then be aware you can build a much better specification microATX based AM5 based PC for roughly the same price (if not a bit less expensive).
This will be a more flexible design with better cooling and easier to upgrade and repair.
Yes it won't be the tiny cute size but it will have way better performance 🙂🤷♂️

TIL:
If your DDR5 DIMM modules have configurable RGB, then every time you reprogram the colours or pattern there is a non-zero chance to corrupt the SPD or other configuration information on the module.
This renders the module unable to train, even if the RAM itself is functional.
Maybe DIMM modules without RGB are the way to go? 🖖🤷♂️

So this coming week I am using up some of my remaining annual leave, before the new financial year.
I have a bunch of IT related projects to catch up with, including:
Yet another desktop AMD PC to assemble,
An interesting AMD based mini-PC to install Linux on,
Hardware upgrades on my Windows PC
Sort though all the hardware I have finished testing and get it listed on eBay for sale.
I do have a 32 GByte Kit of DDR5 6400 M/T CAS 32 DIMMS for sale (2x16 GBytes) in white from Corsair. Tested on an AMD AM5 based system, and they work, although they only have XMP settings (not EXPO).
If anyone in the UK has a need for this kit, please shoot me a competitive price and we can do a deal! 😊
