  1. "Crazy" is a song written by #WillieNelson and popularized by #PatsyCline in 1961. Nelson wrote the song while living in #Houston, working for #PappyDaily's label #DRecords. He was also a radio DJ and performed in clubs. Nelson then moved to #NashvilleTennessee, working as a writer for Pamper Music. Through #HankCochran, the song reached Patsy Cline. After her original recording and release, Cline's version reached number two on #Billboards #HotCountrySingles.

  3. Cowboy Junkies, Misguided Angel, 1989 on RCA

Margo, Peter, and MIchael Timmons with Alan Anton were Cowboy Junkies. This EP came out alongside the Trinity Session album, with the lead single “Misguided Angel” from that session at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Toronto, plus four live tracks recorded at the ROXY in Hollywood.

Both “Sweet Jane” and “Walking After Midnight” were also on Trinity Session. The choice of songs: covering Lou Reed, Robert Johnson, and Patsy Cline, is a pretty good implication as to the sound of Cowboy Junkies.

My copy—via A1 Records in NYC—is a US promotional copy.

  4. "I Fall to Pieces" is a song written by #HankCochran and #HarlanHoward that was originally recorded by #PatsyCline. Released as a #single in 1961 via #DeccaRecords, it topped the country charts, crossed over onto the pop charts and became among Cline's biggest hits. Cline was initially reluctant to record "I Fall to Pieces" and believed its production (produced by #OwenBradley) lacked enough country instrumentation for her liking. Eventually.

  5. "Don't Come Home A-Drinkin' (With Lovin' on Your Mind)" is a #countryMusic song, made famous by singer #LorettaLynn in early 1967. The song was Lynn's first number-one country hit. It is one of her best known songs and was included in all of her live shows. It was only the seventh solo female vocalist record to hit that position up to that time (the others being by #GoldieHill, #ConnieSmith, and two each by #KittyWells and #PatsyCline).

As long as the trees and the flowers grow
So long, oh my love, will I love you so
