    But yes I was researching this because I was looking through #Mastodon's pull requests and saw that sometimes people were frustrated because the PR was veto'd by the higher-ups.

    I understand why! The whole point of free software is the freedom to make the software run as you wish.

    One way is to share patches (#PatchSharing), so people can change the code as they wish without needing permission.

    The other is forks like #Ecko, which work more like Wikipedia, a commons. So yes xD that's why
