Saw an "Earth Day project" on re-using soda pop liter bottles as planters, and rather than "oh neat what an earthy day thing to do" my brain said: "that's a drop in the bucket of soda bottle waste... and that stuff degrades into horrible little bits of plastic in the garden... maybe avoid buying the giant soda bottle in the first place?" 🤔 #partypooper

New Year's Eve on the Gregorian calendar isn't significant to me anymore. For one thing, I've switched to the Hebrew calendar for our New Year as Jews and Israelis.
Second, my idea of a party is an early night at #ClubDuvet (yes, probably age-related - I'm ok with that).
Leaving my #PartyPooper status aside, I'm very much in favour of opportunities for new beginnings, and 1 January is as good a day as any for that! 🎆

@atomicpoet I so want this to be the first and to be true - but I’m going to be contrarian. If you read the annotation under the moth, it reads “first actual case of bug being found”.
To me that suggests that the term ‘bug’ was already in use and the writer was wryly amused that this bug was caused by an actual bug.
