⚠️ Emergency update on #P2Pool ⚠️

The latest version (4.16) fixes a consensus vulnerability on the sidechain that can allow an attacker to receive on their wallet the payments that should be yours.

The vulnerability is probably being actively exploited for a few hours now. If you're using an older version than 4.16, you probably already don't earn anything anymore from mining. Update P2Pool to the latest version to correct that.

Lucky on me. My low #hashrate on #p2pool found triple shares on single window and there are 3 blocks too found on p2pool at that window after my shares.

So if you have the #Monero GUI wallet running on one system and mining to #P2Pool, if you open port 3333, you can point other machines at that computer and it'll hand out mining jobs to them, linked to your same wallet. So you don't have to download and sync the whole Blockchain to every machine, or be able to run P2Pool nodes on them.

So I'm experimenting with using my phone to do some #crypto mining when it's on charge at home.

So I created a second #Monero account/wallet specifically for mining. Since your wallet address is visible on the #P2Pool observer, I figured in the spirit of #privacy, since this is Monero, it might not be good to allow the public address I actually use to be tied to my mining activity.

Anyway, I added that wallet to my Cake wallet and fired up the Monero wallet and have left it mining for P2Pool, and looky there, I'm actually getting deposits, lol. That's a first.
