Whelp, we did see Dappled Cities live again tonight, and they were fantastic.
So tight, and a great setlist of some old favourites and new songs that they really brought to life live. Also a lot of fun in a small venue, where we could chat to the band members afterwards.
This time it was with the offspring, who had three of their albums in the soundtrack to her teenage years. So good to see her enjoy it that much.

As an alumnus of the National Art School, the Mentals have a special place of pride in the school's history. Although the article says they studied at SCA, Reg is a fellow NAS alumnus.

Realising my failings as an Australian Gen X’er, today. Was I meant to listen to something? I barely have time for 3RRR and 3PBS, and they take priority over that other guff. I’ll take the Blackeyed Susans on the RRR rooftop at Victoria St in the late 90s, or the Lucksmiths at the Corner Hotel, or one of Ed Kuepper’s many shapeshifting gigs as my favourite #ozmusic moments.

Native Tongue | Orchestra Victoria x Mo'Ju

Shake Some Action, by Stuart Coupe.
