A new collaboration between LAB111 and Reigersbos Records exploring the rich relationship between cinema and music.

From iconic soundtracks to musicians stepping behind the camera, Needle Drop brings film and music together through screenings, record spins, introductions, conversations and mixers built around films and themes where the two worlds collide.

For Amsterdam Dance Event, we launch the series with Daft Punk’s Electroma (2006), a hypnotic, largely wordless film that takes the duo’s distinctive visual language into cinema. Its striking cinematography, minimalist storytelling and experimental approach show another side of the creative world behind one of electronic music’s most influential acts.

The evening includes a short introduction and records spun by Reigersbos Records.
