I saw a lot of robots at Open Sauce a little over a a week ago. I remember being inspired as a child seeing pictures of robots from MIT. My 7yo dream was to "work" at MIT on robots. So I looked up some of them, and found http://www.ai.mit.edu/projects/leglab/home.html

I love the 80s photo backdrop for the robot photos.

A1: Hi, I'm Ted. Mostly lately I build things with blinky lights.

I've been meaning work on some wearable glowy projects for #BurningMan/#Neotropolis. Last night I thought of a way to handle a software problem that's been in my way. (Along with a flood of other ideas)

Also I've been meaning to do some welding practice as meditation, but that will need to wait a week.

And #OpenSauce last weekend makes me want to build a robot.

After making it through the hour-long parking line and 20min badge pickup line, I had a good time at #opensauce :) Saw lots of neat exhibits, projects, and products. Had nerdy chats with a few presenters. Also embarrassed myself with a rather awkward hello to @geerlingguy who I saw as I was headed out (sorry! but thanks for the coin!) Now I'm home, tired and more than a little sunburned, but happy I made the trip up for it.

Truly enjoyed exchanging ideas with the counter culture labs (https://counterculturelabs.org) biopunks at #opensauce. Discussed dirty hydroponics and Joseph Lofthouse tomato seeds. I really like their mission to share knowledge of #biotechnology and help people start their own labs.

Stopped by a very cool booth, Second Chance Material & Design (https://2ndchancemnd.com). They recycle vapes into new products. Was thrilled to see they make a Milwaukee-compatible battery! Milwaukee batteries are used in the open source PAPRa. So now maybe we can power our respirators from recycled vapes! #opensauce #recycling
