Our new University radio "club" just had its first guest speaker for a meeting: Martin Hickey (AJ6CL). He was great!

He came to share his enthusiasm for SOTA and gave us a primer on how to get in on that action. His enthusiasm was infectious, and his voluminous collection of pictures of peaks he's activated was inspirational!

Hopefully, this gets the gears turning in the minds of my other club members, and they come out strong for making 'Outdoors on the Air' a pillar effort of our club in the coming semesters.

Thanks, Martin, for the great talk and for visiting (and lunching) with our members. Maybe in December we can arrange for a group of folks to activate Satwiwah (aka, Round Mountain)!
