Hey @thesiswhisperer - my new protocol is to either have mail.app or Teams open, but never both at the same time. And when I'm finished with either, I close it down. Huge impact on the way I work. I'm much more conscious of how I am using those tools. #TwoMinuteTip #OnTheReg

Thanks @BronwynHemsley for the idea of using GPT3 to make a teaching outline... you know, it's not bad at it. So I used Open AI GPT3 to make a podcast outline for the #OnTheReg pod @jasondowns and I are recording in a few weeks. I ended up structuring it around our conversation, so it's kind of an interview I guess... Listening to this interesting - and scary - pod on generative AI. The Stable Diffusion guy talks big game about helping the world, but he used to work in Big Oil. The arguments he uses to justify some of the ethical issues sound very similar to the 'greater good' argument you hear in continuing to exploit fossil fuels... If you didn't yet you must listen the latest and so far longest episode #OnTheReg with @thesiswhisperer and @jasondowns. It is over two hours long but worth it (I usually listen while travelling to and from work, took me 2 days 🙈) A lot of discussions about #twitter and issues with algorithms and centralised systems. There is an excellent discussion about algorithmically shaped behaviours and as always Inger and Jason nail it. I loved so much their discussion about how we are shaped and transformed by social media.
