In front of the #KarlMay-Museum in #Radebeul near Dresden. Karl May was the probably most influential German author of "Wild West" stories and still many German residents in both the former East and West of the country grew up with his stories around the greenhorn #OldShatterhand, his friend Sam Hawkins, his love Nscho-tschi, her father and chief of the Apache tribes Intschu-tschuna as well as her brother and Old Shatterhand's best friend and blood brother #Winnetou, who later became the successor of his father as chief.
Interestingly enough, Karl May has never been to the USA himself and while rightfully so he is in rather severe criticism for how he pictured Native Americans in his stories, at his time and age he created a comparably differentiated image of them, making kids often rather be the "Indian" than the Cowboy.
So this will be my submission for #PhotoMonday this time round.
