My 2 year old aon can hear this-- and he's laughing at the fart sounds from across the room. So thanks to that kid 55-60 years ago for making my son laugh now! (ste) #OldRecordings #SayItPlayIt #Teachmoan #FartJokes

In 1947, Cotton Collins from Texas copyrighted the Westphalia Waltz and recorded it with his band, the Lone Star Playboys:

BUT
Here's a recording from 1930 of a Polish tune/song Pytala Sie Pani:

This is an actual recording of Florence Nightingale speaking. This is what she sounded like. So cool.

And while we're turning up old tracks, how about this one. An old Cuban classic, Son De La Loma, recorded in Oct 2011 by the rehearsal band Conjunto Beausire, with:
Ted Beausire: Trombone
Marcia Willis: Vocals
Louise Ewen: Congas
Kristina Denyer: Bongos
Sanjay Manohar: Piano
Chris Denyer: Tres
Ben Chappel: Soprano Sax
Jeremy Kahn: BassIt's a bit of a rough recording, but it captures a certain spirit.

Turned up this old gem featuring my late and very dear friend Martin Kemp on tenor. Also Sanjay Manohar on piano and Louise Ewen percussion. I play the electric bass and also guitar.
I wrote the tune or, perhaps more precisely, assembled it from various stolen components. It was recorded in about 2008 or 2009.
