Now and again, a dye job actually goes horribly because I did not understand that I was not working with natural fibers. this is one such case. The jorts started out as this sort of distressed grey and white look,with some orange and blue accent stitches. I bought them for cheap ages ago, but after I tore a hole in the back, I threw them in the sewing pile for like 2 years and forgot about them. Since I've been couch/bed bound for over a week due to surgery, I've been going through and doing a lot of sewing, and while I'm at it, throwing things in to be dyed. I thought dying these to black would make them even cooler because part of the reason I took so long to sew them was that they were a little cowboy looking...

.. and then I dyed them with black dye meant for natural fibers (read cotton/linen) and discovered they were not 100% natural, and in fact all the accents were synthetic and didn't take to the dye AT ALL.

The top two photos, the greyish ones, are from after the sewing to patch the hole in the back but before the dye job. The bottom two photos are from after the dye job, and holy crap, they look EVEN MORE COWBOY THAN BEFORE :sobbing_cowboy: I am donating these 🫣 :yikes:

I got up at 4.30 this morning to go to work. Had a shower, ate breakfast and made lunch. I even checked a water tank before leaving at 5.30.

I made it the 200m to the creek crossing and stopped. This fella and a couple of little mates had come down after the storm yesterday.

Thinking I might be able to get out and still make it to work on time I dropped a chainsaw on the tree and promptly got it jammed. 🤦

And, right there, my whole day changed.🤷

Dear Teamviewer user on Linux (with KDE Plasma and Wayland),

I noticed that I can connect to a Linux machine running KDE Plasma and Wayland using Teamviewer, but only after the user at the remote machine accepts a pop-up requesting permissions for devices and screen (or similar).

I found an older thread that mentions a checkbox in the KDE system settings (in the "Legacy X11 whatever" section). But checking that checkbox does not improve the situation.

Does anyone have a solution for this? Any ideas?
