There is no denying that the #tRumpAdminstration is a pack of #Fascists and that #TechBros billiionaires are #Rich #Cookers. But they neither get on the battlefield nor win any wars. The Pentagon top brass may be contaminated by #numpties and #politicalAppointees but it is in no way compromised (there’s just too many good staff officers in there - most don’t fight at the sharp end). Add to those facts that the majority of the US MIlitary is made up of coloured Merikans including field officers relatively well trained — though not as well as Australian diggers are, I’d contest — and battle experienced, nothing I’ve said in my comment is dismissed.

I am not an apologist for the US — never have been, least of all when serving in the ADF — but I recognise that the industrial base, materiel heft and manpower of the US mililtary and its allies combined will take more than China to take it on with but a hope to win any war. BTW, the US military is not as ‘outdated’ as you might think. Furthermore, the US military industrial complex can turn on a six pence whenever new war fighting technology is concerned - at least that has been the case since 1941 and nothing recent has changed about that.

From what you say in your toots, you sound more anti-trump administration, anti billionaires and anti techbros than anti-US per se. I remain convinced that the US will survive that crazy bunch, even as it is changed by them.
