No Time to Die (2021) is a strange movie.
It has Ana de Armas, Billie Eilish, Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux, and Hans Zimmer, and is still only a mediocre Bond film. It's a bit as if they wanted to get a few more big names in for the end of the Broccoli era.
And with the rights now owned by Jeff Bezos, I wonder whether there will ever be another Bond movie that feels like one.

@coolboymew I've only seen the most recent #JamesBond movie (yes, I know), so IDK how sensitive he usually is. I don't think it was bad that he was so sensitive in #NoTimeToDie, but it did make the first part of the movie drag a little bit, for what an action film is supposed to be.
I think a nice cycle of the character continually getting calloused and broken and calloused again is a good way to go about it. We get a lot of that in #24onFOX and I think that's going well so far (I'm in S07 rn). Have a movie where he starts off soft, gets hardened by the end, starts off hard, gets softer by the end, etc. etc.
You can also get the illusion of character development without anything actually changing, another thing that presumably makes for a good #JamesBond franchise -

Der Score zu #NoTimeToDie ist Hans Zimmers erste anständige orchestrale Arbeit ohne Synthie-Quatsch seit Äonen. Ich frage mich, wie das ablief: Hat er denen enthusiastisch eine Zusage gegeben und dann haben sie seinen Stil zurechtgewiesen: 'Nee du, mach mal mehr wie Thomas Newton, und wehe, du baust uns unsere etablierten Leitmotive nicht ein!' LOOOL.
Er hat sich dann trotzdem auch gut bei seinem #WonderWoman1984-Score bedient. -
