  1. Noticeably more apps do not have granular notification settings. Looking at #Crumbl, #Lowes, #Sprouts, for example. No way to differentiate between promotional vs my orders notifications. Only option is “nuclear” disable all notifications.

Assuming this is backlash to “Ask App Not To Track”? 🤷‍♀️

(And yes, I know how iOS Notifications settings work, with the variety of options there. I’m talking about what comes *out* of the app itself. The quality of the user app notification experience has degraded significantly over past few years.)

  5. I am noticing a #notificationspam campaign across several domains which uses the same pattern in the URLs used for the images in the spam notifications.
Every instance seems to use https://[domain].top/images/campaigns/creativity-[random numbers]-[random numbers].png

The actual domains are always on the .top TLD and change too quickly to be blocklisted. However, the domains do seem to be 5 alphanumeric characters + the TLD. They also may all share an IP, haven't checked so I don't know.

  6. Cool accessory seen on all the fashion-aware trendsetters: you won't believe all the people using this camera battery holder/AC-DC converter as a belt
