CW: Petition to stop Canada Gov from using X
No governemnt Org should be using X anymore. They should be required to use an open social media platform like the Fediverse at a minimum.

If you LOVE nacho chips and dip as much as I do, check out https://www.theprettyuglycompany.com Not only Canadian, they are using ugly food that stores don't want. The trick is figuring out where to buy them, but perhaps that will get easier in the coming weeks and months.

Awhile back I mentioned that my Step Cousin had a bout of bad luck with a tooth absess. I was was bitching about how dental should be covered under medical. This gofundme was setup by one of his immediate family, and is accurate, with the exception is that he is getting out this week… we hope: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-ralph-steiner-through-an-unexpected-medical-emergency

I wrote a short post about my experience Anthropic and their Claudebot AI here in Mastodon a week or two ago. I had reached out to their support email address and received an instant auto notice saying that they got my email and a human would reply soon. Well, it’s been a week or two and no reply. My advice to everyone is to block Claudebot. Seems pretty AI scammy, complete with empty promises.

We wanted an Eaton CHSPT2ULTRA surge suppressor for our Square D panel. This requires a 50a dp breaker. You think we could find one anywhere locally? No. Spent much time trying, nada. Ended up at canadabreakers.ca. Not only did they have everything we needed with free shipping, but their breaker prices were 60% of all local shops. Reminds me a bit of furnacefilters.ca. We buy local as much as possible. Perhaps one of these places will be useful to someone here. #nonphp

Just switched to https://www.ecosia.org for my online searches. Appears reasonably privacy friendly, helps plant trees, can sync across devices and browsers. Am I missing anything?
