If you have a self-hosted mail server, you may want to try out NexMail, a modern webmail app built on top of Tailwind CSS and Vue for the UI.

It’s not meant to replace your old, trusted Roundcube, but it’s worth a try if you want something different.

For the news: NexMail Alpha is coming soon for early testers.

We’re ironing out a few bugs and some UI quirks, and working on the website, logo, and documentation wiki, etc.

In NexMail, there will be a global search allowing you to search contacts on the Contacts page and emails on the Mail or other pages.

Mail search options include:

- Search within folder
- Search in subject or body
- Search by sender (From)
- Search by recipient (To)
- Search by subject
- Search by attachment name
- Filters: has attachment, unread, read

Compose window in NexMail where you can:
- autocomplete contacts from the contacts list
- Add cc and bcc
- Add attachments
- Save as draft or Send
- Discard the draft
- Auto save on close and on regular intervals so you dont loose anything
- Signatures per account
