Him and Sharpie ran around the base in a frenzy trying to turn on the hibernatorium, and scouting section C. Even though they found what they needed almost immediately, they were out of time, and lost.
Me, I survived the end game procedures, and won the game. -
I don't remember enough details of yesterday's #NemesisRetaliation to write a coherent und exciting recap. So here's some fun facts:
I introduced two expansion characters to the draft: sharpshooter and UAV operator. Both got selected, other characters were recon and combat engineer. I played UAV. Combat engineer had the goal to make sure I survive, and boy is that helpful in this game! Recon wanted to destroy the nest, but died too early to get anywhere near even finding it. Shooter tried to do the tricky mission task. I wanted the mission task to fail, which was the only conflict in goals.

The mission sounded easy enough - Reconnaissance. Scout the base. So why did command send all high-ranking specialists?
Well, nothing ever goes according to plan anyway, now does it?We were all close to suffocating, and we hadn't even left Section A. Honestly, I wasn't too worried - I was in the Life Support control room for Section A, I just had to fix it in order to turn on air. Add to that, command had given me a separate task through the usual "unofficial" channels - They'd "appreciate" if I was the only one leaving the base alive. I guess this explains the unusual squad setup.

We played #Nemesis3 again today. After some back and forth, we were all convinced we were playing cooperatively.
The Intruders had other plans, though 😂
Our plans were close to coming apart, when the heavy gunner almost got killed. He managed to reach the surgery, having just passed a Drone, almost dead, both almost out of, and also leaking oxygen! I followed him, combat rolling into the room with the Drone, and putting my rifle to its head, killing it in a single shot. Still can't believe I got this lucky with that single shot. -
Yeah, well, that's what happened in the game. I love the Nemesis'es, because they keep producing this sort of experience.
As for the end-game:
- My godkid had escaped in the emergency pod, without larva or even any contamination cards. *But* his objective had been for me to die, so 😝
- His father had died from acute Queen Bite.
- Me, I had got out in the lander, hadn't collected any new contaminations after the decontamination, also no larva. And I had achieved my objective. So I won 🥳 -
