#Uber and #Wayve have launched supervised autonomous rides in #London, marking the first public #autonomous trips in the #UK.
Some UberX, Uber Electric and Uber Comfort passengers may be matched with an all-electric #Ford #Mustang Mach-E using Wayve’s #AI Driver, at no extra cost. Riders can accept the vehicle or switch to a conventional ride before it arrives.
A trained, TfL-licensed private hire driver will remain onboard to supervise journeys during the initial phase. The service will start with a small fleet and expand gradually based on demand, safety, readiness and regulation.
London-based Wayve has trained its AI on the capital’s roads since 2018. Its #technology learns from experience and is designed to handle complex roads without relying on traditional high-definition maps or hand-coded rules. More than 140,000 London Uber users have opted in to increase their chances of being matched with a Wayve vehicle.

As usual, the nicest weather of the trip is the day I have to pack up & drive home.
Blaze found a shady spot and was quite happy up here close to me. We took just one big trip shopping and got a half dozen eggs for a dollar.

second time working with oil paints (even tho in digital, that's a new medium to me anyways, am a pastel/chalk/charcoal artist) and i tried to make it somewhat picturesque. horses are extremely hard to draw and even tho i tried to fix it, anatomy still looks kinda wonky imo, i guess i need to watch more videos about how their skeletons and muscles work… i’ve a wonderful course by Aaron Blaise somewhere, bought it a few years ago and still didnt watch, yikes. the sketch is creepy, i’ll attach it below xD
took me ~2-3 houts cuz i kinda got inspired ig, usually i spend a lot more and overrender everything, which is my curse and i must learn to do simple works. here i forced myself into working on A5 canvas and tried to not overrender (tho failed this one prolly, dunno am render-blind recently 🥲 ).

I've not got that much interest in the #Mustang (even though I could just about afford a used one, its way too much car for the streets of #England and even more so in #London), although I do have a bit of sympathy for the owner who clearly got stitched up by the previous workshop; possibly out of envy - when its a motor the mechanics themselves can't afford they might not do the best work
I was however impressed by how prominently these brothers who run the workshop (it is in #Ilford East London) are openly raising money for the emergency relief efforts in #Palestine
