3 mois, toujours aucun effet secondaire et a y est, barre des -10kgs franchie (10,10 kgs, en fait).
Le ressenti est encore plus élevé (pour rappel : je peux désormais, avec aisance, enfiler mes chaussettes, nouer mes lacets et m'enduire les doigts de pieds de crème, risibles petits détails pour vous, mais impossible devenu possible pour moi !)
J'avais du mal à boutonner ma robe de chambre sur ma vaste bedaine : je croise désormais amplement un pan sur l'autre.
J'ai RV avec la diététicienne demain, je pense qu'elle sera contente !

Dès que mon MT m'a prescrit le Mounjaro (donc pas remboursé), j'ai vu une diététicienne qui m'a fixé un cadre qui m'aide énormément. Je l'ai revue après 1 mois, je la revois en octobre.
Je mange largement à ma faim (réduite) et très équilibré.

Nous y sommes presque, à la 1ère étape : à 500g près nous tutoyons les -10kgs, en 13 semaines soit +/- 3 mois.
Après une 1ère seringue (4 semaines) à 2,5mg, les 2e et 3e à 5mg, on commence mercredi celle à 7,5mg.
Pas d'effets secondaires sauf un léger pb digestif pendant 3j après la 1ère injection.
Aucun sentiment de privation, le cadre tracé par la diététicienne permet une assez relative variété
- bol de crudités,
- 100g viande, poisson, volaille ou 2 oeufs,
- 100g féculents (riz pâtes semoule, et 150g si pommes de terre),
- laitage,
- fruit.

While I think this article is a little bit over the top and dramatic, it does raise some valid points about how, as fat people, we really can’t win.
I’ve had the “you cheated” comments and looks, I’ve also had the “I did it the HARD way” comments from people who lost weight without medication.
It’s all a form of ignorance in my opinion, rather than pure hate as this article argues.
And the best way around ignorance is to educate ☺️

My surgeon wants me to go off Mounjaro for a month before surgery. Not for anesthesia reasons—that would only be the 2 week period that’s recommended. But for skin reasons. He says, “because of the skin quality, it's very different with the Mounjaro, it will stretch more”. The thing is, no matter how hard I look I can only find information that correlated any skin elasticity issues with the rapid weight loss and not the drug itself.
And I am on a microdose! I take about 1/10th of the initial starting dose people usually take. It helps me tons with inflammation and pain from MCAS, so I’m loathe to stop for a whole month. I have lost some weight, but it’s nowhere near rapid so any complications that are associated with “rapid weight loss” aren’t an issue.
My worry is the lack of inflammation control and pain will affect me far worse. Also the lack of insulin control. I can see myself going off for the two weeks necessary for anesthesia, but a month of suffering feels insurmountably brutal. Also imE most doctors can’t graps the concept of “microdosing”, I think he clearly was not understanding that I am not on a full dose.
If you or anyone you know have had surgery since starting a glp-1 agonist, please let me know how it has gone for you. Especially if it was a procedure like top surgery. 🙏🏻

Aucun effet secondaire, et quand bien même il y en aurait, ayant fait avec les effets secondaires de la chimio, j'ose espérer que je ferais également avec eux.
Le problème, inattendu, est l'absence totale d'appétit. Aucune sensation de faim depuis 3 jours.
Il faut donc que je fasse attention et que je me contraigne à manger, en suivant les recommandations de la diététicienne.
Je n'aurais jamais cru me sentir gavée avec un (petit) bol de crudités, 100g de dinde, 100g de coquillettes, 2c. à soupe de fromage blanc et une prune moyenne !
