This map displays mosquito reports from around the world, submitted through the citizen science project #MosquitoAlert. Since 2014, Mosquito Alert has been collecting data, primarily on Aedes albopictus (Tiger mosquitoes), which can transmit diseases like Zika, dengue, and chikungunya from human to human. Tracking their presence is essential to control the spread of these diseases.
